After watching the high-tech science fiction movies, with visions of the possibilities of future technology, it's kind of fun when one sees one of those toys actually come to life....
I happened to stumble across a site that peaked my interest: http://www.thinkgeek.com. Okay, so, nerd that I am, I think I actually fit in with this site. In looking through a few of the items linked to the home page, I came across a "virtual keyboard"... Virtual? Yes, someone has really come out with one: The Bluetooth Laser Virtual Keyboard. The device actually laser-projects a keyboard on any flat surface, you can then type, click sounds and all, to enter info on a Bluetooth-enabled PDA or cellphone. You can find it here .
Lots of interesting stuff on this site that meakse one realize that creativity is flourishing all over...and how cool some of these things really are. Speaking of cool, here's one for the nerds... a USB-powered mini lava lamp ! Plug it into one of your computer's USB ports (you DO have one left over from all your other computer toys, don't you?) for a little bit of light on the keyboard (for those of us without the lighted keyboard) while you're programming that last bit of code late at night...
